iBATHWATER es un proyecto demostrativo a escala real de un nuevo sistema integrado de gestión de la red de alcantarillado urbana. Con su aplicación se prevé reducir el impacto sobre el medio natural de los vertidos de aguas pluviales urbanas no tratadas, mejorando así la calidad de las aguas de baño durante y después de los episodios de lluvias intensas. Las dos ciudades donde se llevan a cabo las pruebas piloto son Barcelona —aguas litorales— y Berlín —aguas fluviales—.
